SOFTWARE PRODUCT MANAGEMENT TRAINING

Learn how to turn code into business.

Get ISPMA-certified. Foundation- to Advanced Level. Taught by Gregor Marboe, accredited ISPMA trainer and Fellow.

Your team builds. But if you were gone giving directions, what would be their shared methodology?

Would they know what to build next, and why?

Your team ships features. But does it understand why? Product management is not a job title. It is a discipline. And without a shared foundation, every prioritisation debate is forced to start from scratch, every Roadmap becomes a negotiation, and product decisions are all too often hijacked by whoever yawps the loudest.

Software products do not succeed because teams ship more features. They succeed when strategy, customer problems, business models, delivery, marketing, sales and support connect. That connection does not happen by accident.

ISPMA-certified training gives your team a common language, proven frameworks, and the confidence to make better product decisions – faster, with fewer alignment loops, and with a clear path from project thinking to product execution. Based on international standards and vendor independent.

Why this matters now

AI speeds up product work. But this makes methodical product thinking more important than ever. AI produces output faster – but without a shared foundation, not necessarily better decisions – and potentially much worse ones. You need to bounce against humans.

FAQ

What is ISPMA?

The International Software Product Management Association (ISPMA) defines a vendor-independent body of knowledge and certification scheme for software product management. Its certifications range from the Foundation Level and a dedicated track for startups to Excellence modules in product strategy, product planning, strategic management and orchestration.

ISPMA training is for product managers, product owners and product leaders who want a shared methodology instead of every team inventing its own, and for companies that are moving from project thinking to product thinking. It also fits founders and tech leads who make product decisions without a formal product management background.

Yes, Product Rocker offers ISPMA-certified training as public courses online or globally on-site and as in-house training for your team. In-house training can focus more deeply on your products and situations, so the team practises the methods on its own decisions rather than on textbook cases.

The ISPMA Foundation exam consists of 45 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes, requires 60 % to pass and is available online with remote proctoring or in person. There are no formal prerequisites, although ISPMA recommends attending a training before the exam.

No – AI speeds up product work, which makes methodical product thinking more important, not less. When a team can build features faster than ever, the decision about what to build and why becomes the real bottleneck, and that decision needs a shared method rather than the loudest opinion in the room.

The training is led by Gregor Marboe, accredited ISPMA trainer, ISPMA Fellow and member of the Extended Board. He uses course material by Hans-Bernd Kittlaus and InnoTivum that he has exclusively adapted for Product Rocker. Gregor brings more than 20 years in the software product business into the room, so the frameworks come with practical cases from real product organisations.
